Dan Track follows the trail of a captured drug-running yacht back to a new age of high-seas piracy off the coast of Florida. Modern-day buccaneers are filling the Caribbean cruising channels with terror as they slaughter crews and passengers to get their hands on expensive boats capable of becoming part of the drug fleet that keeps the hungry U.S. dealers supplied. The extent of the cruelty is as vicious as anything Track has seen, and he's out to put an end to it!

A surprise for me, I enjoyed this title even more than the first Andrews offering. After civilians are getting murdered by drug dealers and taking their boats to add to their fleet in the Caribbean, Track and company are on the case to take care of the problem. Track's usual cast of sidekicks are back, and all work together to combat the pirates. A lot of the action takes place on the water, in boat to boat combat, this section was entertaining reading, taking up a bulk of the middle portion of the book. What I think I liked the most however, was the characters on the pirate network side. The goofy interactions the marina operator had with his brute of a nephew and his cohorts made for some entertaining scenes. The final assault wasn't as climactic as I would have liked, but things played out well enough, and brings this story to a worthy conclusion. A strong title for the series, I recommend it.
