IT'S A FIGHT INTO HELL When members of the Islamic Jlhad hijack a plane en route to Athens. On a sun baked runway outside of Beirut the terrorists demand the release of prominent Shiites held prisoner in Israel. The demand is non-negotiable, and if it's not met, the passengers and crew- including a man carrying a device destined to propel modern warfare into the twenty-first century- will be systematically murdered. War-torn Lebanon is the backdrop for a mission that's been too long in coming for Nile Barrabas and his SOBs. The mercs intend to make these hijackers an example to others. Until Nile's cover is blown.

Robin Hardy back at the helm and we get one of the best books yet in the series. Skyjack starts off with a tense terrorist hijacking of a passenger jet over Europe, and added to that one of the passengers has a top secret new fighter jet technology with him. Enter the SOBs to deal with another risky mission. I liked the sub-plot with the reporter seeking to expose the SOBs, this added more substance to the story. Beirut is the main focus of the adventure, with the plane ending up at an airport there, and the hostage rescue mission is on. Excellent storytelling here, both from the hostage end and from Barrabas's crew. A whirlwind of perspectives from the various villains, hostages, and the SOBs as they are split up, each with their own duties. Action and suspense at a high level, this is one of those books that I couldn't put down, even if it meant postponing lunch. This book also has a huge surprise, that alone is worth the price of admission. Loved this book, I would strongly suggest getting into this series as this is one of many books of this caliber so far, and still two more from Hardy, and two more from Philipson to go, this ride will last for at least a little longer still.

Robin Hardy back as the author of this title in the series and the cheers from the backbenches are deafening. Excellent title in the series where a jet liner has been hijacked by terrorists and flown to Syria where the hostages are being held. One of the hostages is an American professor who has created a virtual headset/helmet which will revolutionise fighter jet avionics in the future and he is just one of a cast of (well a lot). So many good characters introduced in this title I lost count from the hijackers to the cabin crew of the jet liner to the flight crew to some of the hostage passengers to the terrorist leaders in Syria to the reporter in the States who threatens to expose the SOB's to the public etc. Full on story line here folks which WILL keep you entertained if you decide to read this one you won't be disappointed action scenes abound all of the members of the SOB's feature solidly and the return of a member thought to be dead and forgotten. Gotta say the return of the said member was a bit hmm shall we say tested the bounds of reality a tad considering how he was initially supposedly killed but I guess it doesn't really matter that much as he is one of the much loved members of the SOB's especially by Hatten. Terrific finish where the SOB's after saving the day are flying off to the nether world and the obnoxious reporter is doing his best to expose their identities to the world with not much luck with the survivors of the hijack but for sure he will be back in the future no doubt. Absolutely loved this one you really should consider this one if you wish to read a fine title in this series.

A solid novel. Kind of a sequel to Firestorm USA, where we find out the fate of an SOB presumed dead. And of course, hijacking books seem to turn out pretty good, a-la Flight 741.
