The brutal elimination of several small-time Mexican coyotes and the discovery of a boxcar full of dead illegals tell the Arizona Border Patrol that something big is up - someone is trying to corner the market in cheap labor. It's a slick operation, always one step ahead of Mack Bolan - until the bullet-riddled trail leads the Executioner to a man with the money, power and killing urge to turn the dreams of the destitute into a life of misery. Carlos Calderone trades in a perishable commodity - human flesh. It's time to put the greedy maverick out of business. Bolan is ready to foreclose.

This authors last title of eight I have read that he penned for this series and with one stand out and one shocker this one joins the list of the others which are just okay reads. As has been said the Big Guy doesn't actually do a lot here where he seems to just be along for the ride. Some good characters introduced from the Border Patrol cops and a lawyer who all play quite good roles. The main bad guy is pretty ruthless about what he is prepared to do to accomplish his plans and the title leads up to what should have been a pretty good finish but unfortunately falls pretty flat and seems very rushed at the end maybe the author was running out of space ? An okay read as said but nothing to recommend here unfortunately.

This book is more like an adventure starring the border patrol, guest starring... mack bolan! mack only appears in about 1/4 of the book, the rest is seen through the eyes of the police, the lawyer or the villains. it's not that bad though, and the plot kept me reading. it could be an 7 star book. however, the characterization of mack bolan is incomnplete. the man in the story has Mack's heart but not his head... he does careless things and can't figure out the simple mystery behind the events in the story. minus 2 stars. the villain and police were great main characters though. their backstories were well told, so plus 1 star. it's an okay read, but not really great.

Can't really add much to the review from Max Danger. I did like the setting for this one, I could feel the desert heat as if I was in the action. Better than average book, but not by much.

VERY BAD BOOK. NO REAL PLOT AND BOLAN DOES NOT EVEN SHOW UP FOR MOST OF FIRST HALF OF THE STORY. I COULD NOT EVEN FINISH THIS ONE. ONE TO AVOID.

Good writing and good excitement made up for nearly non-existant plot. Bolan seems to simply end up in the action scenes, almost tagging along. However, intangibles score high, giving this one an above-average rating.

Not a bad book. But not one of my favorites.
