Asian Storm. Mack Bolan goes undercover as the point man for a U.N. commando force in Malaysia. The mission is to halt the sale of components for black market nukes to insurgents, but a double cross leads to a bloodbath with the good guys winning. Then Bolan discovers an even bigger nightmare: The unmistakable mark of the Triads in the botched deal exposes a pipeline to the biggest players in the Asian underworld, one that he is prepared to shut down fast and hard. The trail leads to the teeming streets of Hong Kong, where Bolan exacts long overdue justice from traffickers in white slavery prostitution and drugs- anyone willing to sell out humanity to the highest bidder. When it comes to retribution against those who prey on the innocent, the Executioner always makes it personal.

Like everybody else I thought this title was okay and readable. I liked the way the characters were introduced and their storys explained, some of them especially the ex wrestler are excellent. What annoyed me when reading this is too many plots running at once which were not explained fully leaving the reader wondering what was that there for as it really wasn't necessary for the story and seems to have been included just to fatten the text and add pages to the title as filler. example: The first half of the book focuses heavily on one Eva Kelmin who has been kidnapped by the triad and is now being held prisoner and forced into prostitution at one of their whorehouses. Bugger me half way through the book the whorehouse is attacked and the next we hear from the young lady is the last page or two when Brognola passes on the Presidents thanks from her father to Mack. The book just didn't flow in my opinion and as such is hard to read. There are many better titles in this series.

Well written book. How ever it had similar flaw to previous Renauld books it is too diverse. Too much stuff, we get displayed in array of what is wrong with chinese: blackmarket centrifuges, triads, whiteslavery, crooked hyper capitalists. In anotherhand too little about what Mack is doing. Usually I´m not counting kills by Bolan but in this one they are scarce. End fight with wrestler was quite good though.

The story on this book was action-packed and enjoyable to read, but was shocked by one of the kills made by Mack Bolan at the end of the book. Mack shoots and kills a security guard who is doing his job. Law Enforement(cops)were always considered soliders of the same side and he would never kill one.Even if some people think security officers are not part of law enforement,we do I're part in dealing with the lesser crimes to free up police to deal with major crimes. All types of business men hire security guards to protect there properties. Just because a businessman ends up being bad guy does not mean the security officer doing his job should be killed. Mack Bolan would not shoot and kill a security officer. I bet Don Pendleton would agree with me.

This book served as my first later day Executioner book. As a Mack Bolan book it was a fair read. Beginning was excellent. I liked the adventure around the Malayan port, and landfill. The way the antagonist eluded Bolan was excellent. The scene on an island off the coast of China was excellent. The overall pace of the book was good. However overall plot was a little flat.

Pretty good entry ! Like the other reviewer noted , I too was confused by the bounty hunter Bolan ran into. I thought I had just missed something or wasn't paying attention, I guess it wasn't just me who was confused. That and the fact that Bolan happens to show up at the EXACT moment the bounty hunters are trying their rescue attempt was a little far fetched. But I guess it is the world of Bolan. I always come back to the villains, the've gotta be good, well you know what I mean, they gotta hold my interest - and the ones in this book were great ! One other little thing, I know it doesn't matter , but I think it mentions the chinese dude has no hair and no eyebrows but the bad dude on the cover has hair , and eyebrows. I guess I'm being a bit picky. Eh Kay says - well worth the effort.

I remembered a book with 'Slaughter' in the title being the top-ranked on on this website and bought 'Slaughter House' by mistake, but I was glad I did because this was the best of the newer books I've read. The plot with the Triads and the whole tsunami trash haul scam was great and there are some really original villians. My favorite is the ex-wrestler who is now a whorehouse bouncer with big dreams. There are plenty of great shoot-em up/action scenes and a lot of good dialogue exchanges. I would have given this a ten except there are some places where it almost felt like some pages were missing or something. The time it bugged me the most was when this woman bounty runs into Bolan just before the book's biggest shootout and she acts like she knows him and was expecting him, only it was never explained. And after she gets killed, Mack gets all mopey and swears vengeance like it was April Rose who died or at least somebody he knew. I don't know, maybe I missed something or maybe this woman worked with Mack in another Executioner book and so they didn't think we needed to be reminded. But on the whole, this was a great book and except for the bounty hunter stuff, I really liked the way everything tied together by the last chapter. And if they would have figured a way to have Bolan wind up driving around in an updated version of the War Wagon, I would have given this an eleven.
