Minutes after his arrival in Madagascar, the U.S. Secretary of State gets kidnapped by a terrorist organization, and the White House goes on red alert. Unable to stage a rescue without causing an international incident, the President turns to the one man who can get the politician out alive. But this time Mack Bolan won't be working alone. Dodging bullets at every turn and hunted by an assassin as dangerous as he is, Bolan partners with an operative from his past to help him track the captors. But nothing is what it seems in Madagascar. The lines between traitor and rogue are not only blurred, they make a deadly combination...especially when it comes to trust and betrayal. As the ransom clock counts down, the Executioner will need to employ every stealth move he knows to get the secretary-and himself-out of the island nation alive.

I don't have the book with me to refer to at the moment, and I have forgotten some of the characters names. But this to be a clue as to what I think as I only finished the book 2 days ago, and have forgotten the characters already. As mentioned in the previous review, there is the female lead Bolan knows from a previous mission, one that took place in Sarajevo and was so sustantive that he remembers everything about it and the woman made such an impression that even Hal Brognola remembers her, and I would love to know which book this is as I cannot place it. I suspect it was never written, and was all background filler. Whatever, it was very distracting. What happened to the Secretary of the Interior in the good ol'USA? Why did he assign Smith to interfere with the mission and to kill Bolan? Who was Smith? What happened to the turncoat Secret Service agent? Everything was dropped or forgotten about. What was the villain's plan? Why does the cover of the book insist that the villain wants military aid when this is not mentioned in the story? The villain seemed to have enough weapons and men. Nothing made sense. This was an incoherent story that took me days to get throu as I was just not interested.

Didn't find much interesting in this one. Could have been a real good one. Once again, I'm not sure the author portrays Bolan very well. The book implied Bolan and the woman character were "involved". Bolan doesn't get involved with women. He has a semi-romantic relationship with Price, but that's only when he has the time. Also, Bolan let said woman kill a prisoner in cold blood that was tied up and helpless. Didn't seem like he would really do something like that. Otherwise, action scenes were fairly dull and not very descriptive. Hardly any weapons descriptions, and again Bolan used mostly pistols. Just my two cents.
