His name is Kadal, and he's an assassin on the loose in New York City. Hired by a Shiite splinter group to sabotage the signing of a treaty that could end the bloodshed in Lebanon, Kadal's mission is to kill any of the delegates. The FBI discovers the plot and puts a twenty-four-hour watch on the hit man. Then the head of their female informant shows up in a box, and Kadal vanishes. The President orders Able Team to stop this killer, whatever it takes!

This title whilst an okay read didn't do much for me I am afraid. A female FBI agent tags along with the team this time so Lyons can have yet another love relationship which is getting a bit boring now in the series. The ending section is quite well done and finishes the book off nicely hence an extra star. Up to you not one I would recommend in the series.

"Hard Kill" marks the complete transition from the GH Frost version of Chuck Rogers (the first) version of Able Team. Not only are the novels longer, they are starkly separate writing styles and plots. Instead of cover-to-cover action and terse writing, the author writes characterization, plot and motivation into a novel-long setup piece where it climaxes into a single, intense battleground that's all payoff. GH Frost was good and popular. He wrote epic Able Team. Anyone who replaces him as the series regular writer would be criticized by not following his formula. To me, "Hard Kill" is the most enjoyable, believeable entry of the entire Able Team series. Instead of untold number of killer hordes, Able Team is fighting a single killing machine equal and unusually elusive to them. As for the action scenes, the era of Rogers is quality over quantity. This is his best novel. 10/10.

This was a quick read, not as much action as I'm used to from AT but the story builds along the way to a good finish. I think this was a 188 page book stretched to 220 pages to meet the bigger format, but is was a decent entry.

This one was fairly enjoyable. The head-in-the-box scene was classic. And the confrontation between Lyons and Kadal was well worth the wait.
