Great Story!! Mike Newton definitely did some work in writing this one. A lot of time is spent giving background for the plot. Normally I tend to lean towards more action and less plot, but with Newton's descriptions of the cult's recruitment techniques, I was hooked. I really like the part where Bolan teaches unarmed combat to some of the cultists. I haven't read the other two books in the series, but the trilogy is definitely off to a grand start.

First off, a disclaimer. I'm not a big fan of the SuperBolan books, they tend to be a little long-winded and repetitive for my taste. However, of the SBolan's that I have read, this is by far one of the better novels. The addition of the Daly character was a welcome one, and I think he added a lot to the story. The cross country chase scene(s) seemed to drag a little bit, but the action definitely picked up at the end for the typical Bolan ending. If you aren't a fan of the SuperBolans, then stay away from this one altogether. However, if you are, this book is as good as any I've read.

This was my first Superbolan, and I'll have to say that it didn't have the same kick to it that I find in the Executioner novels. The action can get a bit long-winded, but you do get to see more of the villian's point of view. I didn't like Mack being seperated in this one from his standard weapons (Beretta, DEagle and mini uzis), but it was O.K. On a scale from 1-10, it rates a 6.

Even better than Deep Attack. The scene on the lake with Bolan fighting the drug lords was one of the best action scenes I've read in any book...bar none. I also liked the peek into the world of the sniper, as seen through both the eyes of Bolan, and the mercs. A must for the Executioner collection.

Overall, a very good read. Started in typical Bolan-style (action, what else?) and then got pretty slow. The plot was foggy for a while as well, however, towards the middle you can begin to see it come together very well. The ending didn't let me down either. The part where Bolan stalks the mercenaries is almost worth the price of the book alone. Scale of 1-10 a solid 8.

Excellent book. Close to a 10. I loved the part where Bolan is on the cruise ship and holds off the pirates while waiting on the seals. Once again, it centered Mack in a tropical climate (a la Deep Attack), where I think his action is best. Buy it.

In all, a pretty good ending to the trilogy. I can't say I really thought that the assault on the mansion was the greatest closing scene, but it the book was still pretty fun to read. Definitely not as good as the first two, but of course, if you read the first two, you gotta read this one anyway.

This book was great. Hands down. It started with an excellent fight scene in Uganda with Mack, McCarter, and Manning. The desert fight with Bolan and Grimaldi was also fun to read. The plot is (almost)fully revealed in this one, but it still leaves you wondering a little at the end. Hopefully the trend will continue, and Vengeance Rising will be a great ending to the trilogy.

Terrific book. I read it in one weekend while on vacation and almost didn't want to leave the hotel! There were A LOT of additional characters in this one (as Gunslinger pointed out), however, I thought they each added a special twist to the story. The inclusion of McCarter and Manning was a great idea as well. Most of all though, I like the way that you are left guessing what the true plot is even at the end of the book (I've read some trilogies that give it all away in the first book). As a sidenote, I started on the second book in the trilogy (Plague Wind) yesterday, and so far it is even better than Target Command. For Target Command, a solid 9.

Not as good as Deep Attack and Slaughter Squad, it was still pretty good. There was more info on the villians in this one, and you really got to know their characters real well. The ending was too abrupt IMO, but the action never stopped from beginning to end.

Excellent read. Couldn't put it down! Placing Mack in the Tropics was great! It was a neverending action sequence. I would like to have seen more development in the villians' characters, but other than that I recommend it to anyone.

This book suprised me. I figured it would be a rehash of Executioner #208 (Death Whisper), just in a different surrounding. Quite frankly, the first chapters began to confirm my suspicions. However, the plot began to take a few fun twists toward the middle with some interesting alliances. It finished with a bang and left me recommending this book to any Bolan fan. However, a read of Executioner #208 is a must before reading this one, or else you'll have a hard time understanding the bloody past between Bolan and Baibakov.

Not much else to say that hasn't already been said. It is a great book. It really captures the feeling of a Boston Winter. I really liked how he assumes the dead cop's identity and becomes the "avenging ghost". Scale 1-10, a strong 8 (almost a 9).

Excellent start to the series. This was the first exectutioner I have read that split equal time between AT/PF/and Mack. The various plots start out seemingly unconnected, but the author does a great job progressively bringing us closer to a tie-in. This is the first trilogy I have read, and I was impressed with the start.

Excellent book!!! The development of the spetsnaz characters as honorable opponents was truly original. Also, the scene with the apache helicopter is incredible. I also liked the way Laroquette didn't just play the role as Bolan's tag-along. The appearance of AT/PF was also a welcome addition, as this has been the first Executioner book I had read with them in it. So far, out of the dozen or so Execs that I have read, this one rates a perfect 10.

This book was horrible. It was definitely the first Executioner novel that I just couldn't stand. I finished it just because it wouldn't be right to post a review about a book when you haven't read the whole thing. Scale of 1-10, well, can we go into negatives?.....

I really enjoyed this one. The female Russian agent was a great addition to the story, and she was definitely no wimp. Overall, a very good read.

Though not as good as the other Executinoer books I have read, it was entertaining. A solid 7.

IMO, couldn't have been a better ending. The action was perfect Bolan, with equal time to the other two teams. The interrogation scene with the female huntsman made the book for me.

I pretty good book, though it mostly seemed to be just a filler for the trilogy plot. Good action, and we see the plot finally begin to make sense here, which takes away some of the suspense.
