This is very surprising. I would expect something better from Dan Schmidt. I am on chapter 5, and I am ready to throw this book away. What kind of simple-minded son of a bitch are you Dan? What the hell is a Ford GMC? There is no such thing. I'm sure whoever edited this book is just as at fault as Dan, but it is ridiculous. I have been reading this series for many years, and they are beginning to feel more like a damn James Bond movie.

I have been collecting the old Bolan novels like crazy, everything from Mack's days fighting the Mafia to the terrorist wars. the last really solid Bolan book that I read was number 300, a book that brought sadness to our heart as Katz was fatally wounded in battle. Ever since then, the Bolan novels have just gone straight downhill. The new writers need to spend more time getting to know Pendleton's methods and try to make the series a little more like it used to be, not this 21st century hollywood crap that ends up in the books these days. How about bringing Johnny and Mack together again, or maybe have some Vietnam flashbacks, maybe even bring back some bad guys that have gotten away. I don't know about the rest of you, but this series is getting worse.
