This was one hell of a book. This one knocked me out of my shoes and socks. The Iceman, Brand, C.J. -- all those guys the equivalent of Phoenix and Able. Chuck created some characters that were interesting -- no cardboard characters here. We got to see Bolan all out. And shown as human, when he feels sudden panic (the graveyard scene), and all-out raw determination (the fight at the end). Chuck Rogers has outdone himself with this one. And to borrow a phrase written by another author of the same name. Fuckin' A.

I'm really surprised that a lot of people didn't like this book. I enjoyed it. Kasner gave Able Team a lot of room to play and kill. This was good, as in the past, there were gripes how Able Team did baby-sitting, candy-ass missions instead of doing real work. There were lots that I enjoyed in this book.

Everyone else has said what I wanted to say (Doug put his writing where his mouth is; he can walk the walk). This is one fine book. Characterization. References to history that helps seam together continuity. Doug shows that Bolan is not an autonatom, but rather a human being like us, with emotions. I'd write more but I hate writing reviews (brings back memories of writing book reports back in high school).

This was another solid story written by Nick, who weaves a yarn so suspenseful and interesting. One minor nitpick: the use of computers isn't accurate: When Stony Man institutes their cyber counter measures, making cookies disappear, and having LANs crashing really isn't probable (especially if the LANs don't have a router to the Internet!). But to accurately write about this technical stuff would make it really boring. So I'm not deducting any points for it.

Wow. Great book. Dan Schmidt has come through in style. As with Dan's books, the storyline is interesting, and brings to reality the phrases of action-packed, page-turning and edge-of-the-seat writing, which Gold Eagle Marketing is so fond of using. I can't wait to read books 2 and 3.

I thought I reviewed this book already. In any event, very excellent book. Very scary stuff. COMCON sex slaves. FEMA. There's really nothing more that I can say that hasn't been said by others. This book and Splatterpunk are the ones I always talk about to other people. In fact, I just told one of my co-workers, just now, about the COMCON series. I told him that I would buy the books for him, that's how much I want him to read it.

Upon further thought, I wish to change my original rating for this book. It deserves *FAR* more than a 7. I'll give it a 9.5, but it's not possible to do, so it will get a 10. This is the kind of book that you would want to introduce a newcomer to the action/adventure genre. This was a fairly good book by Ron Renauld. It had lots of characterization, the plot was interesting -- basically an all-around good book for the masses to enjoy. One more thing I wanted to add to my review. Ron Renauld did a great job, and showed a remarked improvement over his past Able Team books. My original complaints in those books certainly would not apply for this book. Great book.

Ron Renauld has come a ways from his Able Team books. This was first shown in his recent Stony Man book, and it continues with this recent Super Bolan book, which was a rather enjoyable read.

This was a damned good book. This book easily beats anything from Tom Clancy's Op-Center -- hand's down. Nick Pollata really knows how to weave an excellent Stony Man yarn. The ending was simply magnificent. I wonder if Gold Eagle is going to incorporate this into their continuity -- like TRIO and MERGE, for example. I have one minor nitpick -- Nick's descriptions that had anything to do with computers. Typically, it was inaccurate or didn't make sense. However, to be fair, no other author anywhere gets it right, either. Or if they do, it would be pretty boring to read.

As a story, this is great, and I have no complaints. But... this didn't seem like a Gerald Montgommery book. A certain journalist was in it, but he was nothing like the character in the middle book of the COMCON trilogy. It's like Gerald didn't have his heart in this book, or it was heavily edited. The journalist in question: no references to Gonzo, doctor of journalism, or any of that other stuff that took us on such a wild wide in the COMCON books. But it was still a great story.

Great book by Linaker. I appreciate how Able Team was used more. Thanks for listening to us on the message boards, Mike. You did great.

I enjoyed this secondbook of the trilogy by Mike Newton. Bolan seems to have more character, which is good.

I really enjoyed this book. Dan Schmidt did a bang-up job on this one. This book was riveting and kept my total attention.

I really enjoyed this book. This is one of Newton's better books (e.g., Flight 741, Rogue Force, Run to Ground, The Trial). Mack Bolan in this book has a lot more character. Can't wait for the next book in this trilogy to come out!

This is one hell of a kick-ass book. I strongly believe this was written by G.H. Frost (pen name for a large number of Able Team books). Check out the writing style -- it's the same. In any event, we've got Mack, Able and Phoenix at their very best. Each word was action. Each scene bustled with activity. If any book is deserving of Gold Eagle's marketing ("page-crackling, edge-of-the-seat, action-packed) phrases, this book is it.

This was okay. Tom Arnett really doesn't have the characters down completely. In the beginning, Kurtzman and Lyons are talking on the phone. Reference is made to Kurtzman's stilted language for fear of someone listening in. Well, if there's worry about that, then there shouldn't be any talk at all. An exchange between Kurtzman and Lyons as depicted above would never happen.

I've never really cared for Tom Arnett's books (altho they are okay) because he doesn't quite have the characters down. In any event, as others have said, Mack and Able would never go against each other.

This book sucked. Any book by Ron Renauld sucks. He made April Rose's (or was it Barbara Price) character seem weak and dependent.

This book sucked. Wasn't a real Able Team. "It really grilled his goose" is not a phrase used in real books. How about "Zero to 60 flash anger" or something like that. And, no, the FBI isn't supposed to know about Able Team, much less a federal agency so impressed with Able Team, he wants to go tell all his co-workers about them! It's stuff like this that made the book suck. Any book by Ron Renauld sucks.

This book totally kicks ass! Montgomery has got the Bolan character down. You could tell that Gerald had fun writing this story. "A laughing gasser and screaming bloodboiler with a side order of guts on a white-knuckle ride straight through the landscape of all the rings in Dante's Inferno"..."vicious incarnations on this cosmic dirtball of pure misery." The star quarterback and his entire defensive line taking up their positions was a total riot. It reminded me of a scene out of the Twilight Zone. "Words of the heart. Testaments to the supremacy of the human spirt." Getting back to Pendleton ideas. This was great. Total, excellent kick-ass book!

This was a good book but I thought Katz was characterized as too much of a wimp and Bolan had to advise him of everything. Remember, Katz has more experience than Bolan. Although in fairness, I suppose that when one's daughter is kidnapped, reasoning takes a backseat to worry.
