I enjoyed this book very much. I wanted to read it because it was Mike Newton's first Executioner. I found the action much different than today's books. Much simpler...no cell phones or fancy equipment. Good old action throughout the book with a personal motive for Bolan. A very good read! -
I thought this was an excellent Mike Newton Executioner. It got right down to business, flowed very nicely and the plot was easy to follow. Gunning down as many bad guys as they did at one time was a little much, but, that's what Executioner books are all about!!! I really enjoyed this one. -
Action packed from start to finish! I thought the virus plot was a different twist and enjoyed it very much. Some parts were a little far fetched, but that is the part of the Executioner novels I enjoy. -
This book was very interesting to me from beginning to end. I thought it was an excellent first writing of an Executioner by Mr. Davis. Plenty of action, going from the USA to foreign countries and a pretty good plot. The only negative I have is that Bolan took a round through his calf (page 75) while on the ship and aside from it hampering him getting off the ship, it never seemed to slow him down throughout the rest of the book. Overall, I enjoyed it very much!!! -
Overall, I thought this was another good book by Jon Guenther. Yes it had standard stuff, international drug pipeline and action throughout. It also had a couple of unexpected twists and had Brognola and Grimaldi in action as well. It kept my interest and action flowed throughout. The rescue scene by Bolan in the end was a little rushed, but I enjoyed the book. -
I am a long time fan and reader of The Executioner series. After reading this issue, I decided to start leaving ratings. This first offering from Phil Elmore was somewhat different than recent issues in that it takes place in the good old USA. I enjoyed this very much and stayed interested in the story from cover to cover. Good action and plot make it a good read. I took away one star because of Kohler being shot and not mentioned again. It was as if he was not wounded. Overall a very nice first issue for Mr. Elmore. I look forward to him penning other Executioner adventures in the future.
